During her visit, she received an alert on her mobile phone about a foreign transaction worth $2,525 on Aeromexico Airlines through her credit card. The unexpected notification raised concerns as the actress had not authorized any such payment.
According to Zee News, cyber criminals allegedly hacked her mobile phone to carry out the fraudulent transactions.
Police investigation underway
Following the incident, Kirti Kulhari filed a complaint with Mumbai Police. Authorities have registered a case against unidentified persons and have begun investigating the matter. The police are working to trace those responsible for the cyber fraud.
