Heavy monsoon rains continue to batter Himachal Pradesh, forcing the state's Meteorological Centre to issue a flash flood warning for seven districts over the next 24 hours. The downpour has triggered landslides, buried vehicles, and disrupted traffic across the region.
Flash Flood Warning for 7 Himachal Districts
The weather office has warned of a low to moderate risk of flash floods over several watersheds and neighbouring areas. The seven districts under this warning are Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, and Solan.
According to the Times Now, the National Highway connecting Kaza-Kinnaur-Shimla has been closed due to heavy flash floods. Two vehicles were buried under debris in the region.
Orange and Yellow Alerts Issued Across State
The weather office has also issued orange and yellow alerts across Himachal Pradesh. An orange alert has been issued for nine districts — Shimla, Kangra, Solan, Mandi, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Una, Chamba, and Sirmaur — warning of heavy rain at isolated places during the day.

In Chamba, two parked cars were buried under debris after a landslide struck the area amid continuous rainfall. No casualties have been reported so far.
Similarly, in Shimla, heavy rainfall caused severe flooding at the IGMC nullah, leaving several vehicles buried under debris, as reported by a YouTube report.
