Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged Ram Temple donation scam is an eyewash intended to protect influential people rather than uncover the truth.
Kejriwal's Allegations on Ram Temple Donation Theft
Speaking to reporters after arriving at Lucknow airport on his way to Ayodhya, where he is scheduled to visit the Ram Temple and Hanumangarhi, Kejriwal made serious claims about the theft of donations.
According to The Hindu, Kejriwal claimed that "diamonds and precious stones that devotees offered to God have been stolen, Rs 200 crore in cash has been stolen, and even 200 kilograms of silver have been stolen."
Questioning the SIT Probe and Lack of FIR
The former Delhi chief minister expressed deep distress over the situation, saying, "I am deeply distressed. There are crores and crores of people like me who are deeply distressed."
Kejriwal questioned the SIT's formation and the absence of an FIR despite what he described as evidence of theft. As reported by National Herald, the AAP claims the probe panel lacks legal validity as no FIR has been registered, alleging it was constituted to shield influential people.

Kejriwal's Visit to Ayodhya
Kejriwal was en route to Ayodhya to visit the Ram Temple and Hanumangarhi. His remarks came as he addressed the media at Lucknow airport, highlighting the alleged mismanagement of donations at the temple.
According to The New Indian Express, Kejriwal lamented the alleged theft of valuables and cash received in donations by the temple and questioned the SIT and the absence of an FIR despite evidence of theft.

Kejriwal's claims are serious and directly question the integrity of the investigation into the Ram Temple donations. In our view, the lack of an FIR despite such specific allegations of theft — including diamonds, cash, and silver — is a legitimate concern that the public deserves clarity on. Whether the SIT is truly an eyewash or a genuine probe, the authorities must address these allegations transparently to maintain public trust in the temple's management and the investigation process.
