The BJP-backed candidate Pawan Lambardar has been elected chairman of the Una Zila Parishad in Himachal Pradesh. The election, held on Wednesday, was unanimous. Abinash Menon was elected vice-chairman in the same meeting.
According to The Tribune, the election took place in a House of 17 members. Both candidates were elected without any opposition.

The election was closely watched by senior BJP leaders. Shri Naina Devi MLA Randhir Sharma was the BJP in-charge for the election. Una MLA Satpal Singh Satti and several former BJP legislators from Una district were also present outside the Zila Parishad hall when the election concluded.
